This entire project was inspired by my blog on tumblr. At first I had the idea that maybe I could try to make the app itself as a 3D cube and draw or paint the logo onto two parallel sides of the cube but, then I realized that i could do something even better. So instead of making the cube, I decided to make a clay modal of all the letters in the exact same style. I think that my finished product had turned out much better than I expected and I am really proud of it.
It took many steps to get to my finished product;
It took many steps to get to my finished product;
- I started by picking out my picture that I wanted, in this case, I chose a logo. The very first step that I had to take was graphing my picture onto a coordinate plane. Idid this by first putting the original up against a window under a piece of graph paper and then tracing it onto the graph paper.
- After I had my picture graphed I drew out a coordinate plane and numbered my x axis up to 140 degrees and the y axis to 40 degrees.
- Next I listed all the points on a paper and the entered them into the spreadsheet on GeoGebra. Everytime I finished a set of points I would got to the top of the page and click on the drop down for the "create poly line" button to make the final shape.
- After I finally put in all the points and it make a full word after I went letter by letter.
- After that I canceled out the graph lines and the coordinate plane so that it would look like it was on a piece of plain paper and then I saved it onto my desktop.
- The next step was to open up the file from my desktop and print it out.
- After that I colored and and outlined the printed out picture but decided to take it another step forward.
- I measured the outline of the letters and then traced the with a toothpick into a slice of clay, after I cut out all letters from the clay I thought it looked really dull and I wanted to add something to it to make it look more unique. So I decided to make small indentations into the edges to make it look like an old fashioned signs along an old-fashioned building.
- When I was done with all the letter I cut out a part of a shoe box and used hot glue to make the letters stand up on the cardboard.
- Then I put and edge of the shoe box against the back of the letters so they had a support to lean on.
- The very last, finishing touch I put onto the clay was some blue glitter glue that represented the color of the app itself.
- A mathematical model is a model of something that has to do with math or some how incorporates math into it.
- Complex imagery can be showed through mathematical models by for example, if you graph acollages or a complex painting it would probably end up looking complicated but if you were to graph and arrange it in the right way you would get a complex, but accurate mathematical model.
- One perfect example for how productivity software can be used for graphing is the program GeoGebra. GeoGebra allows you to insert and create poly lines onto a graph to make images and lines. You can also enter your amount of x and y axis, along with allowing you to eliminate and keep your
