We are working with act 1 scene 3, this act is set in the bride’s “cave-looking” house. We are informed that there is a cross hanging towards the back of the room made of pink flowers and multiple curved archways with lace hangings and pink ties. There’s a clear color contrast with the blue vases and white walls with pink accessories. We assumed that by ‘curved fans’ they meant small hand held fans mounted on the walls. The major colors we are using are blue, pink, and brown furniture. Because the scene is of the parents arranging their children’s wedding and we feel a very awkward tension rising. We want to show this through bright lighting because everyone is getting exposed. We have one lighting that is completely normal and looks like a living room lit up with an over head light. Our second light is an orangish yellow light shining straight through the back of the stage to represent the tension and awkwardness of the scene. The last lighting is a bright yellow light to illuminate the area when the bride and bridegroom meet for the first time.
